Newtron's electric revolution arrives on Swiss soil. On 11 April, the Swiss Confederation started the procedure to allow a vehicle, electrically retrofitted in Italy thanks to Newtron's kit technology, to circulate or register in Swiss territory.

The verification of the electrically retrained vehicle was carried out by Swiss Motor Vehicle Authority officials, who subjected the car to strict Swiss technical and documentary checks, confirming the reliability of Newtron technology in the e-mobility sector. The final report of the checks will be forwarded to the FEDRO (Federal Roads Office) reporting the positive outcome of the tests, which covered the electric motor, battery pack and wiring in detail.

As far as registrations are concerned, moreover, no technical and bureaucratic impediments were detected concerning the import of the Newtron kit or the start of electric vehicle upgrades in the Swiss state. Finally, particular appreciation was paid to Italian progress in the field of sustainable mobility, and in particular to the research work that led to the issuance of Ministerial Decree No. 219 of 1 December 2015.
