The world's first application of the Fiat500 Mild Hybrid Newtron makes its debut in the Sparco Italian Rally Championship 2021
12 June 2024Debuts on 3 January at 22.15 '.Electromod with Mario Biondi", which in 6 episodes will take the singer around Italy to discover with Nicola Venuto by iconic vintage cars sign Amarcord Workshops. The aim of the challenge launched by the programme is to apply a restomod to disused cars to give them a new full-electric heart, to talk about and be passionate about motors from a green and environmentally friendly perspective.
The passion for cars of Mario Biondi, a former collector, will be the fuel for Electromod's journey, assisted in getting the vehicles back on the road by real automotive professionals. Starting with the partner with whom he conceived and realised the projects Nicola Venuto developed at its Amarcord Workshops (Newtron Group) of Villafranca Tirrena in the province of Messina.
Mario will also benefit from the advice of the world rally champion Miki Biasion and of Matteo Gualandi of GP garage, an expert in Mini Coopers, the collaboration of the Brema coachbuilder and the experience of Maurizio Medici of Medici Style. All united in an ambitious project, the partners will work on the models discovered by the singer with care, creativity and professionalism.
Every car featured in the six episodes will find a new life thanks to the conversion to electric power: from the Lancia Delta Lx which will take the form of the award-winning Delta Integralto a Fiat 124 spider of the 1960s who will take to the road again with a heart full electric and a decidedly aggressive appearance, up to a glorious Fiat Pandawhich will resemble a Swiss army knife with a thousand applications, and a Mini Cooper S R53 that will bite the asphalt with its gritty dual mode motor.
The electric test drives of Mario Biondi and Nicola Venuto will also include luxury cars, such as a Porsche Boxster S completely abandoned and in a poor state of repair, which will be back on the road with new cosmetic profiles and the full electric motorand an unprecedented bEast 400made from the body of a single Ferrari 400i.
In 'Electromod with Mario Biondi' the electric motor will take centre stage: although silent, its style will resonate thanks to the great singer, who will compare the models from time to time and match them to different musical styles. Heart, music and engines: music comes to the road in an environmentally friendly way.
